Why buried rated r

Thanks for the spoilers! I haven't seen this movie yet, but after reading some of these reviews, I'd just like to thank some of the thoughtless users of this site for posting the freaking ending!!!!!! How about you not do this for any other movies, mmmmkay? Adult Written by joshua martinez January 23, Buried is an intense thriller movie about a person being buried alive in a coffin filled with sand and it's hard to watch with that being said this movie is too much for your younger kids to watch considering this movie only for your older audiences and parents you need to know that buried has some mild violence and strong language used.

Adult Written by MissMolly77 January 22, For a one-man film, Ryan Reynolds held his own. As for the entire story line; completely rediculous. Keeping him in the box throught the Entire film did not give the feeling of being there with him leading to suspence and thrill. More like frustration to see that he didn't use the objects left with him to his advantage in the most common sence, life-or-death way.

Putting aside how the box went from rediculously small to large enough for him to stand in and back and forth throught the film, he would have been dead within at least 10 minutes if they were trying to make the film realistic.. Which is the point of most movies right?.. To engage the audience.. Perhaps if they did incorporate a scene or two outside of the box, it would have drawn some attention away from the unrealistic time.

And I can't help but say, they should have went with a lower ranked actor than Ryan Reynolds to star in this film. He has earned his status as a well respected actor.. I hope this film doesn't pull him down. Adult Written by khan November 18, Ryan Reynolds gives the most finest performance of his whole life, brilliant performance running through a rainbow of emotions, angry, sarcastic and terrified are but a few. Parent of a year-old Written by Mr. K November 10, I found that ryan reynold's fear of being buried alive was by far less than par.

The plot was very far fetched but neatly came together in the end. Enjoyed the ride nonetheless. Adult Written by MovieMan26 October 9, Excruciatingly uncomfortable thriller sure to give you claustrophobia First of all, if you have claustrophobia, it is safe to say that you will not make it. I could barely make it through the whole thing.

I actually began to appreciate how much arm room I had while watching this film. That being said, this is an extremely well-done film.

And for a movie to be this good while only taking place in one setting is even more impressive and intense. This is not an experience for the weak-stomached. A man says that he witnessed eight people being killed, and he thinks the man he is talking to is willing to let him be killed as well.

We hear that a convoy of trucks was attacked as they drove through Iraq; the group was first attacked by a group of boys throwing stones at the trucks and when the drivers got out, one of the trucks was blown up and six drivers were killed by men with guns, who appeared from behind houses and opened fire.

We hear that a coffin containing the body of a dead young man is found. A man asks another man why a woman was allowed to be killed and the man explains that they did not know she had been taken hostage.

A man shouts angrily, using crude language, at both men and women over the telephone. A man uses a cell phone to speak to multiple men and women, explaining that he has been taken hostage and buried alive and fears that he will die soon. LANGUAGE 8 - About 36 F-words and its derivatives, 1 sexual reference, 11 scatological terms, 3 anatomical terms, 7 mild obscenities, name-calling criminal , 2 religious profanities, 7 religious exclamations.

A man drinks from a flask that contains an unidentified alcohol. Being buried alive is terrifying. Buried inside a coffin by his captors, the man must try to get free with only the aid of a lighter and cell phone.

Why is Buried rated R? Run Time: 95 minutes. The struggles of another man awaiting rescue are recounted in Cast Away.
